In October 1978, Beijing high-pressure gas cylinder factory established, which was the predecessor of Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd.

In August 1992, Sino-South Korean joint venture, Beijing Tianhai High-pressure container Co., Ltd established. 

In October 1993, Beijing Tianhai High-pressure container Co., Ltd changed name to Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd.(referred as BTIC)

In January 2003, Tianjin Tianhai High Pressure Container Corp., Ltd. was founded.

In July 2005, Shanghai Tianhai Dekun Composite Cylinder Co., Ltd was founded. lt was purchased by Jingcheng Holding Co. and Mr. Wu Shouzhong, the Korean investor of BTIC. 

On August 3, 2007, BTIC signed contract with Canadian Westport Co., ltd. and BTIC WESTPORT INC. was founded.

On March 27, 2007, Langfang Tianhai High Pressure Container Co., Ltd. with 500,000 potential annual outputs was founded. On August 9, 2007, the new factory was formally built and the cylinder trial production was expected to begin in Dec.

May 9, 2008, Beijing Tianhai Cryogenic Equipment Co., Ltd. was set up.

In July 2010 BTIC successfully acquired 51% stake of America Fortune Company which indicated the formal establishment of BTIC America Corporation.

December 10, 2010 BTIC successfully merging all the shares of Beijing Pioneer Up Lifter Co.,Ltd.

February 17, 2012 Beijing Minghui Tianhai Gas Stocking and Transporting Equipment Co., Ltd. was successfully registered.

In May 2013, Shanghai Tianhai Dekun Composite Cylinder Co., Ltd changed name to Shanghai Tianhai Composite Cylinders Co., Ltd. Shanghai Tianhai Composite Cylinders Co.,Ltd is taken as BTIC’s composite cylinder manufacturing facility. 

In March 2014, Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Electric Co., Ltd. was founded.

June 12, 2014, Shandong Tianhai High Pressure Container Co., Ltd. was founded.

April 27, 2015, Jiangsu Tianhai Special Equipment Co., Ltd was founded.

August 19, 2015,  Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd successfully achieved the certificate of Protected Eco-origin Product.

Today, BTIC has developed into a large-scale company owning eight production bases in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Langfang, Mulin, Tongzhou, Shandong and Jiangshu.
